Airport transfers from Alicante and Valencia to Benidorm
Benidorm is a fantastic place for a holiday in Spain for people of all ages. It’s easy to get to Alicante, Valencia or Murcia airports from the UK, and Prestige Tours can ensure you arrive at your destination in comfort and style. A holiday in Benidorm is a popular choice for many older people who want to escape Britain’s bad weather and enjoy the Spanish sunshine (over 3,000 hours per year!).

Benidorm certainly is a town of contrasts and there’s more to it than just nightlife, discos and shows. The old town of Benidorm, behind the castle, is a maze of typical tiny Spanish streets and traditional restaurants and bars. As with most Spanish towns, life centres on the blue domed church of San Jaime, which can be found in the heart of the old town.

Wander along the promenade by Levante beach on a Sunday afternoon, or during the evening, and you’ll see a mix of Spanish families taking their paseo (stroll) alongside the tourists. From grandma and grandpa to the babies of the family, taking part in the paseo is a Spanish tradition.

Restaurants and bars in Benidorm
The four miles of clean sandy beaches of Benidorm are backed by a variety of bars and restaurants, where you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine or two or a cocktail and watch the sun set whilst deciding what you want to eat.

And eating out in Benidorm is easy as there are so many restaurants. You can choose from traditional Spanish, Italian, Indian, German, Chinese, Thai, seafood and of course the traditional English roast or fry-up! There are luxury restaurants for that special night out, moderately priced restaurants, restaurants offering the traditional Spanish menu del dia for about 7 euros, and of course tapas bars.

Things to do in Benidorm
Whether you like to laze on the beach all day or take a gentle mountain hike there’s something for everyone in Benidorm.

There are two main beaches: Levante and Poniente (which tends to be a bit quieter). Both have blue flag awards for their cleanliness and are watched over by lifeguards during the summer months. There’s also the sheltered beach of Malpas, which is smaller than the other two, but very pretty and backed by palms.

If you enjoy walking there are some beautiful parks and gardens in and around Benidorm where you can take a leisurely stroll and enjoy the colourful Mediterranean plants. If you prefer a more challenging walk Benidorm is backed by mountains with glorious scenery, and several tourist agencies offer guided walks. Another relaxing walk is along the beachside promenade.

If you’re a shopaholic Benidorm is the place for you! Shoes, bags, clothes, toys, jewellery and home items can all be found in the town and the local indoor and outdoor Spanish markets. And if you’re a shopping centre fan then a visit to La Marina Commercial Centre is a must. Located on the edge of Benidorm, with over 100 shops, you’re sure to find what you want.

Nightlife in Benidorm has something for everyone: music and dance shows, tribute bands, comedians, impersonators, drag shows and karaoke. And of course there’s the famous Benidorm Palace, where you can enjoy an evening’s entertainment eating dinner and watching one of the spectacular Las Vegas style shows.

And let’s not forget the golf courses, boat trips, cinemas and nature parks of Benidorm.
